Review

I’ve had this mic for over 3 months now, I guess it’s worth the money.

I use a windows laptop, one of the first things I did when I set up the mic was go to my audio recorder program. The recording of my voice was so quiet I could hardly hear myself. After updating my windows it was a slight bit louder but still not great.

After reading the reviews I was mostly confused, they were all positive but there seemed to be some complaining about how quiet it was too. The same people upset about the volume intake had windows just like me, they might of had laptops too. So there is a good chance this mic has issues with windows laptops. This could just be a coincidence and I got a bad mic, but that also means some people are getting bad mics and you should take caution when buying one.

In game use

When using the mic in game, others seem to hear me just fine, when I screen record, my mic still seems quiet at times. It definitely picks up the sound if I talk louder however. So there is little to no issue that I am aware of when it comes to gaming.

Recorded sound

When I record sound it seems to always be quiet, it can pick up sound and I can hear it, but it’s on the quiet end, same thing when using windows to test if it picks up the sound, it just says it’s really low.

This could be an issue with the windows drivers, or it could be something built into the mic that does not work very well.

This may cause problems for voice overs or singing.

Ease of setting up

This was my first time setting something like this up, so it was a bit difficult catching on, the manual helped however.

The hardest part what figuring out what to attach it to. I do not have a thin desk, instead it is more on the dresser side of things. Seen in the photo above I have it attached to something I found that was thin so it could stay. Putting the microphone into the correct spot was slightly difficult, I was afraid I might break it.

I would say it is moderately difficult to set up, but it depends on what you know and what you have.

Extras

I have never been complemented on the quality of my mic, therefor it might not be as good as it looks, and believe me it looks good.

I would say this mic is a decent mic that works almost as it’s supposed to, it’s just on the quiet side. The quality however is still good in my opinion, needs to be louder.

$30 at the time of writing this is a low price I believe. If you wanted to make a gaming set up but do not have a lot of cash, this could be a good start.

Mic 5/10

Good quality, volume too low, not an issue when gaming however

Looks 8/10

Looks very nice and professional, photo friendly

Mount 8/10

Very good grip, holds in place well, very adjustable, not very adaptive if you don’t have something in its size.

Ease of setting up 7/10

Took me awhile, manual helped, some parts were hard to fit

Overall, 7/10

could use some work
